I would like to take this opportunity to reminisce about all the great things that made up the 2005 season:

- Fan Fest (a 2 day event full of Angel fun…autographs, pictures and interviews)
- Meeting and instantly falling in love with Paul Byrd (at Fan Fest)
- Spring Training (9 days of watching the boys practice and play in the Arizona sun)

After the disappointment of Game 1, what with Bart giving up 3 runs, after getting the first 2 outs, and Garret missing the fly ball to left center (I still think Juan would have gotten it...even if Sciosc says they had G.A. playing shallow), etc...it was nice to go to last night's game and see the Angels, that I know and have been watching all ( Read more... )

It got a little scary there in the ninth, Frankie came in with the bases loaded and the Angels clinging onto a 5 runs lead (that just sounds so wrong). Frankie through some good pitches...including the one that Tejada hit out! We were down to a 1 run lead...but Frankie settled down and struck out Javy Lopez. WOW!! Where have those Angels been all year? 13 runs against the Boston Red Sox…no bad! I just hope that they can keep it up and take at least a pair (hopefully more). And come on, can the Royals at least win one freaking game!! They’re giving pathetic a bad name ( Read more... )

I headed out to the stadium early yesterday...I wanted to see some of the guys (especially Paul). When Paul arrived, he pulled over before he got to the gate and I was trying to figure out what the hell he was doing...then as he started to pull up I figured it out...he was finishing whatever phone call he was on so he could talk to Mayra and I... It was a great week for Angels baseball!! Back-to-back sweeps…and one at the expense of our closest opponent. After the weekend was over, and the dust had settled, the Angels had a 6½ game lead over the Rangers (thanks in part to the Astros!).
